BRIAN FERDINAND – CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Ferdinand founded LuxUrban Hotels (previously named CorpHousing Group) in 2017. He has more than 22 years of business and industry experience, including serving as Chief Operating Officer at VacationRentals LLC, a provider of loyalty-branded, hotel-alternative accommodations from 2015 to 2017.
JIMMIE CHATMON – CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr. Chatmon was named Chief Operating Officer in November 2022. Mr. Chatmon has served as an Executive Vice President since 2017 and as a director in the company since 2021. In this role he helps LuxUrban Hotels grow in the hospitality marketplace. Overseeing our revenue management team, Mr. Chatmon draws on extensive experience and analytical expertise in designing pricing, inventory and distribution strategies. Prior to LuxUrban Hotels, Mr. Chatmon worked in sales and revenue management at Vacation Rentals LLC, a provider of loyalty-branded, hotel-alternative accommodations. Mr. Chatmon earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
SHANOOP KOTHARI – PRESIDENT
| Mr. Kothari joined LuxUrban Hotels (previously known as Corporate Housing Group) as CFO in January 2022 and assumed the added responsibility of President in November 2022. He brings over 25 years of accounting, finance and capital markets experience. He previously served as the CFO of NuZee Inc, an environmentally friendly coffee co-packing services company where he also served as Chief Operating Officer and as a director. Prior to NuZee, Mr. Kothari was a Managing Director at B. Riley FBR where he oversaw the provision of a wide range of financial services to FBR’s oil and gas clients. Mr. Kothari was the CFO of a private oil and gas refinery joint venture with HollyFrontier and an investment banker at Credit Suisse. Earlier in his career, he served in a variety of capacities for BindView Development, a publicly traded software company, including as CFO. Before joining Price Waterhouse, an international accounting and consulting firm as a senior auditor, he received a BA in Accounting from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from Rice University. He is a licensed CPA and CIA and possesses Series 7 / 24 / 63 licenses. |
KEVIN MIKOLASHEK – CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Mr. Mikolashek has been LuxUrban Hotels’ Chief Compliance Officer since 2021. Prior to joining, he served as Managing Director for Misbah-Maher Consultancy, a firm focused on Federal Government contracts in Afghanistan, and for Maher Legal Services. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mikolashek was Senior Counsel at the Enforcement Division of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, investigating large financial institutions, and he also served in the U.S. Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, where he led complex procurement fraud investigations into some of the nation’s largest defense contractors. As an Army Judge Advocate Officer, prosecuting felonies, he provided legal advice to combat commanders, and represented the Army in civil litigation. Mr. Mikolashek holds an M.B.A from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business, a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University, and a B.A. from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
KARL ROTHMAN – CHIEF ACCOUNTING OFFICER
| Mr. Rothman joined LuxUrban Hotels initially as the acting Chief Financial Officer in 2021 when it was still known as CorpHousing Group. He transitioned into his current role when the company went public. He brings extensive financial experience in a variety of industries including health care, real estate, and legal services. As a consultant, Mr. Rothman performed Sarbanes-Oxley reviews and provided tax, project management, and outsourced accounting services for small & growing businesses. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Virginia. |
